Your Guide to Collecting LEGO’s Infinity Stones

Today I’m writing a guide for all of you Thanos-es. I’ll be telling you how you can get each of the LEGO Infinity Stones, which Marvel Avengers Infinity War sets they come in, how they are packaged, and what their set locations could mean! You may also want to check out the LEGO Avengers Infinity War Minifigures guide I previously wrote.

Update: There are rumours of another set but characters are spoilers so it won’t be out until the movie (premieres April 25th), similar to the Tanker Truck with Spidey in Civil War.

Contains speculation for Infinity War. If you want to go in without knowing anything about the film, this may not be for you. Also, don’t look at the LEGO Infinity War sets.

Marvel Avengers Infinity War Sets & Collecting LEGO’s Infinity Stones

Sprues of the six LEGO Infinity Stones

Sprues of the six LEGO Infinity Stones

The six LEGO Infinity Stones are all packaged the same way — in a sprue of four each. You pop them out of the molds to use the stones individually. The stones themselves are very small so it’s a very good thing that LEGO includes three spares each.

Space Stone

LEGO Space Stone - Marvel Avengers Infinity War Sets

The first stone we will talk about is the Space Stone. The other name of the Space Stone is the Tesseract, and it is a blue stone which allows the wearer to teleport themselves to any location they wish.

76101 The Outrider Dropship Attack

LEGO 76101 The Outrider Dropship Attack Set - Space Infinity Stones

The Space Stone appears in the smallest Infinity War set, 76101 The Outrider Dropship Attack. I think this may not be very accurate as we last saw Loki with the stone and he was giving it to someone in the trailer. It’s also the second stone that Thanos manages to get, if the trailer is not misleading us there.

Power Stone

LEGO Power Stone - Marvel Avengers Infinity War Sets

The next stone is the Power Stone, which was last seen in the custody of the Nova Corps. It was in the Orb from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, and is purple. The Power Stone grants its wielder the use of all power that has, and will ever, exist. It can also boost the power of the other gems.

LEGO 76102 Thor’s Weapon Quest

LEGO 76102 Thor's Weapon Quest Set - Power Infinity Stone

The LEGO Power Stone appears in 76102 Thor’s Weapon Quest, on the back of the Star Forge. This could seem to suggest that the Guardians have whisked the Power Stone away from the Nova Corps to keep it away from Thanos, but I think this may actually be inaccurate too as the Power Stone is the first stone Thanos gets, so maybe Thanos gets it first? We’ll find out on April 27th.

Mind Stone

LEGO Mind Stone - Marvel Avengers Infinity War Sets

The third stone is the Mind Stone. The Mind Stone in the MCU is yellow. It initially was in the Scepter, which Thanos gave to Loki. Black Widow gave the Scepter to S.H.I.E.L.D. after the Battle of New York, but the weapon was then stolen by HYDRA. Baron von Strucker experimented with it, which killed many innocents and gave Wanda Maximoff and Pietro Maximoff their powers, transforming them into Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

The Avengers reclaimed it, only to have it stolen by Ultron, who shattered the blue casing to reveal the yellow stone inside. The yellow stone was embedded inside the Vision’s body to give it life.

As of the time of writing, it is still in Vision’s forehead, though we do see one part in the trailer where Corvus Glaive looks like he’s trying to pry the stone from Vision’s forehead.

LEGO 76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack

LEGO 76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack Set - Mind Infinity Stone

The LEGO Mind Stone appears in set 76103, The Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack. Interestingly, the Mind Stone is included separately from the Vision minifigure (though he still has a printed stone on his forehead). It is instead placed on a table in Shuri’s lab.

Has Shuri taken it out of Vision for safekeeping? Or is it just inaccurate and just a way for LEGO to include a physical LEGO Mind Stone for kids to collect? Again, more questions.

Time Stone

LEGO Time Stone - Marvel Avengers Infinity War Sets

The next stone we’ll talk about is the Time Stone. It is located in the Eye of Agamotto, in the possession of Dr. Stephen Strange, Sorcerer Supreme. The Time Stone has the power to manipulate time, whether to reverse sequences or speed up time.

However, as noted by Mordo and Wong in the Dr. Strange movie, the use of the Time Stone is very dangerous if one does not know how to wield it. Interesting to note about the LEGO Time Stone is that it is the only LEGO Infinity Stone to have a clear stand instead of a gold one.

LEGO 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown

LEGO 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown Set - Time Infinity Stone

The Time Stone appears in the biggest Infinity War set, 76108 The Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown. A little knob in one of the bookshelves will explode a window, revealing the Time Stone inside. This may be fairly accurate since the Time Stone is definitely in the Possession of Dr. Strange. It just probably isn’t in the back of a bookshelf, though.

Soul Stone

LEGO Soul Stone - Marvel Avengers Infinity War Sets

The fifth stone we will talk about is the Soul Stone. This Infinity Stone is the only stone that has not appeared in the MCU yet, and its location remains a mystery. Some have speculated that it could be in Heimdall, since his eyes glow orange and he has the power to see people’s souls (or something like that).

Others (including me) suspect it is in Wakanda, probably in the center of that vibranium meteorite, which is what created vibranium and the Heart-Shaped Herb. The LEGO variant is the standard translucent orange, and comes with a gold stand with a 1×2 golden jumper plate underneath.

LEGO 76104 The Hulkbuster Smash-Up

LEGO 76104 The Hulkbuster Smash-Up Set - Soul Infinity Stone

The LEGO Soul Stone appears in 76104 The Hulkbuster Smash-Up, which shows a battle between Proxima Midnight and the Avengers in… Wakanda. Very interesting. The LEGO Soul Stone in this set is stored in a compartment in the back of the hijacked Wakandan turret, which is definitely not where it will be in the movie but it could be that the Soul Stone is in Wakanda.

Reality Stone

LEGO Reality Stone - Marvel Avengers Infinity War Sets

The final Infinity Stone is the Reality Stone, aka the Aether, seen in Thor: The Dark World. It is red in color, and was originally in liquid form. It gives the user the ability to warp reality at will, potentially giving the wearer immense strength, durability, powers, and subjective influence over the universe.

LEGO 76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle

LEGO 76107 Thanos Ultimate Battle Set - Reality Infinity Stone

The LEGO Aether appears in the second-largest LEGO Avengers Infinity War set – 76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle. The box art shows it embedded inside the gauntlet by itself, but I don’t think this is accurate as the trailer shows Thanos getting the Power Stone and the Space Stone first. Of note is the fact that the LEGO Aether is slightly less translucent than the other LEGO Infinity Stones.

That’s it for my post! I hope this helped you in your LEGO Infinity Stone collecting. Let me know what you think of the new LEGO Avengers Infinity War sets in the comments below! 🙂 Bye!

Great post! This is really helpful for someone like me, who hasn't watched the earlier films for ages, and can barely remember who had each stone. I might be bookmarking this page...
