LEGO 76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack Set Review

In preparation for Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War (which I’m personally very exited for), I thought it would be fitting to review one of the sets from the movie. The set I’m reviewing today is the 416-piece LEGO 76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack.

LEGO 76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack Set

This set takes place in Wakanda at a wall. Courvus Glaive, one of Thanos’ adopted children, is trying to steal an Infinity Stone from behind the wall with the help of a 6-armed Outrider. Vision, Black Panther, and, Shuri are trying to prevent them.

What’s Inside the box?

The LEGO 76103 set includes five Infinity War minifigures:

  1. Vision

  3. Black Panther
  4. Corvus Glaive
  5. Outrider minifigure with 6 arms

The Wakandan wall features a lever-operated gate, tower with 2 rotating, dual stud-shooting turrets, hidden disc shooter, hinged wall section, lab with minifigure seat, desk and 2 computer screen elements. Also includes a Thresher and Thresher launcher with trigger, jungle camouflage elements and the Infinity Stone element.

The Review

This line of sets come from the movie Avengers: Infinity War, coming to theaters April 27, 2018.

The LEGO Avengers Infinity War sets are play sets. This one has two duel laser guns on top of the gate, a disk shooter, and the thresher. Other play features include the moving door and if you shoot a spot on the wall, you can knock vision in his bed. Also, you can link many of these together to make a huge wall.

While people are worried these sets are spoiling the new Avengers movie, that hasn’t happened much. Lets use the example of the Black Panther Rhino Face-Off By the Mine set. This set shows killmonger stealing vibranium. The actual Plot (I won’t spoil it) was completely unrelated.

Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack Minifigures

Now let’s talk about the minifigures from the LEGO 76103 set.

Corvus Glaive

Corvus Glaive Minifigure

I like the torn cape and face of Corvus Glaive. He is currently exclusive to this set. He has two expressions; smiling and angry. This is my second favorite minifigure.

Vision Minifigure - LEGO 76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack Set
Vision Minifigure

I like the vision and his cape. He has his yellow infinity stone in his head still. Maybe we will get one in another set with no stone. I believe it’s the same Vision from the Captain America: Civil War sets.

Black Panther

Next up, the black panther minifigure. I like the mask a lot. He has a piece on his head that is the ears. I believe he is the same figure from the Royal Talon Fighter Attack set.

Shuri Minifigure - LEGO 76103 Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack Set

My favorite Minifig in this set is Shuri. She has awesome curly hair and a really cool jacket as well as two laser cannons. This minifigure is exclusive to this set.

The final character is the Outrider. He has 6 arms. The extra four arms are attached to a neck bracket with one stud.

The Build

The build, like I said, is a piece of a wall. You can link many of these together to create a larger wall. The set has several play features, all of which are pretty cool. You can stage a pretty epic battle using the thresher and all the other weapons.

Sadly, this build is kind of limited. My guess is that the designers have prioritized the minifigures, which I’m fine with. Even with this drawback, I like the detailing especially on the windows and the gate.

We still don’t know what the wall looks like in the movie, since it hasn’t been released and there aren’t any set photos, therefore I cannot yet comment on the likeness.

I have a friend who would love this set as he loves to play battle and this set has so many play features and minifigs making it perfect for that. I usually end up being the bad-guy unless the good-guy has more guns.

As a collector, the minifigures are a very good deal, especially the Corvus Glaive and Shuri. They both go for $10-$20 on I personally don’t like the Outrider as much as the others. I don’t really like the gold and silver printing. I was sad we didn’t get a Shuri in the black panther sets, so I’m happy to have it now.

While the builds size prohibits more detailing, I’m happy with what we got.

Over all, I really like this set. For the price tag, I think it is worth it. The minifigures are what makes this set as popular as it is. The build has drawbacks, but it serves its purpose as a play set well. Comment below what you think of the Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack Set.

    • Fun fact! Shuri’s hairpiece is inaccurate, based on the new Entertainment Weekly images. It’s supposed to be a Leia/Kaydel Connix-style dual-buns. This hairstyle is more of the Black Panther style.

Her orange jacket is accurate though, should be a bit translucent style but IDK how LEGO wouldve done that.
