Hey guys, Jack’s back and today I’ll be looking at LEGO Transformers and how you can make your own!

LEGO Gameboy Transformer Set MOC

Make Your Own LEGO Transformers

LEGO has never acquired the Transformers theme, but that hasn’t stopped them from building their own ‘transformers’. While some elements of sets can transform or be rebuilt into different vehicles such as 31304, there has never really been a set that can transform from a car to a robot. Today I’m going to change that and show you the best LEGO Transformer MOC’s out there!

Bumblebee

First up is one of the more popular characters from the Transformers franchise, and that’s Bumblebee!

MOC 1

This Bumblebee Transformer MOC was built by YouTuber hachiroku24 and depicts a speed champions size Bumblebee which can then be transformed. However, he does have to cheat a bit as the arms have to be attached separately, but given the scale, I’m pretty impressed.

MOC 2

This has got to be one of the best Transformers I’ve seen in ages! It was built by YouTuber Ralph Savelsberg and completely transforms from robot to car. Unfortunately no instructions are provided but more photos can be found here.

Optimus Prime

Up next for the Autobots are these LEGO Optimus Prime MOCs, complete with instructions.

MOC 1

Another build from YouTuber hachiroku24. Yes it does cheat a bit, but the design and function is still pretty good.

MOC 2

If you want a bigger Optimus Prime version then check out this awesome ride by YouTuber aranobilis98!

Transformers: The Last Knight

These robots from the Transformers The Last Knight movie in 2017 don’t transform as such but look pretty awesome! Including builds for; Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Squeaks and a mini version of Dragonstorm. However, they do rely on some custom parts for the head. They are built by Brick FORCE Studios.

LEGO Gameboy Transformer MOC

One of my favourite transforming MOC’s is this Gameboy by Baron von Brunk. It has batteries (weapons duh) and game cartridges (flaming birds)! Unfortunately it reached 4,106 supporters, so will not become an actual LEGO set.

Conclusion

So that’s it for my look at LEGO Transformers. Hopefully you’ve been inspired to build your own! Which of these is your favourite transformer MOC, or do you have a different MOC that wasn’t shown here? Let me know in the comments!

Ooh, for a moment I thought you were looking at "official sets" and thought this was an April Fools joke. XD

Hahaha! Lego Transformers sets revealed! Lego has stated that they'll be releasing 4 sets in conjuction with Lepin and Kre-o. This is certainly a turn around from Lego's past dealings with Lepin and what I believe to be a positive step foward. Kre-o currently has Transformer rights and now coupled with the "designers" at Lepin and Lego, we should be seeing cheap sets with some great design ideas. I only fear for the plastic quality... :)
